Health and Community
Services Information
Be sure to stop at the many exhibits and tables at the Park
and Beach events. In addition to handcrafted jewelry,
scarves and tasty munchies by the many vendors, there is
valuable health and community service information. Meet the
staff of health and social service agencies and find out
what’s available in our community!
HIV Counseling and
Testing
HIV counseling and testing services are provided by a
collaborative of different community agencies from all
across the City. All of the counselors are trained to
provide quality counseling and testing. Both Rapid and
OraSure tests are offered at PITC events. Rapid testing
provides you with results in about a half an hour. OraSure
test results are available in 7-14 days. You meet with the
service provider to get your results. Samples for both tests
are taken by oral swabs and are painless. HIV counseling and
testing will be offered for free at the BlackOut Arts
Series, the Family Day in the Park and the Beach Event.
STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) screening, blood
pressure checks and other services are being confirmed.
